Union Soldier Henry Mingels Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 7.5" x 11.75", Harrison County [Indiana], May 27, 1862, to Capt. B. F. Holcomb, commander of Co. "K," 45th Illinois Infantry, informing him that he will not be able to return to the regiment as ordered as his wound, for which he had returned home on furlough, has only "partially healed and now has gathered and is running Matter worse than ever." In addition, he has just recovered from a "Spell of the typhoid fever," which has left him rather weak, and he is out of money. The month before writing this letter, Mingels was sent to recover from a wound to the chest incurred during the Battle of Shiloh. He was discharged the following month (June 24, 1862). Spot of smudging of the ink.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
