    Ulysses S. Grant Funeral and Tomb: Four Mounted Photographs. Each photograph is affixed to a mount giving a description of the image. Images include: Grant's Casket, August 1885. 17" x 14.25". Grant's casket is seen on a raised bier in front of New York City's City Hall, surrounded by uniformed policemen and other dignitaries at the beginning of the procession; Grant's Funeral Procession, August 1885. 17" x 14.75". This image, taken from the top of a building in New York City, shows the continuing procession three hours after Grant's casket has passed; and Floral Decorations on Grant's Tomb, May 1886 (two photographs on one mount, front and back). 17" x 14.25". Both images show decorations left at Grant's tomb, including one from U.S. Grant Post No. 67 of Bay City, Michigan, listing the many victories Grant had during the war. Some light staining and toning to the mounts (two of which contain period ads on the verso); binding remnants on the left edge of one.
