Tombstone, Arizona: Rare Business Card for Tombstone Gambler. A rare business card, 3.25" x 2" for Tombstone and circuit gambler Lou Rickabaugh, circa 1880-1881. Rickabaugh owned a bar and was a friend and business partner of Wyatt Earp in several Tombstone gambling enterprises. Like other mining boom towns in the West, Tombstone attracted scores of professional gamblers hoping to win the earnings of local miners in the various gambling halls. Rickabaugh was one of several Tombstone gamblers who competed against one another in what was considered by some a "gambling war." The business card has a few minor spots on the front and residue of glue on the back where it was at one time attached to something else. Otherwise the card is in good condition.
