Original Animation Storyboard, Signed by Artist Maurice Sendak

Maurice Sendak. Original Signed Animation Storyboard Drawings for Wild Things are Happening. Episode 'Internet.' 1998.

Signed original drawing. A rare example of Maurice Sendak creating a film storyboard, this sheet of the artist's typical acetate drawing paper contains five original pencil sketches (two of them labeled "40" and "43"; with the first illustrating three Wild Thing monsters); overall size of the sheet is 8.5 x 11 inches. Fine condition.

Between 1997 and 1998 Mr. Sendak worked on an ambitious advertising program for Bell Atlantic Corporation to show them as a gentle giant in mass communications offering complex technology solutions such as increased bandwidth and DSL services. In addition to five print ads that Sendak drew himself, he developed themes for seven animated television spots, sketching out storyboards that a London-based animation studio then brought to life. The campaign won a highly coveted Silver Effie award and Mr. Sendak personally won a Clio award. This project marked the first time his Wild Things characters had ever been used in this manner for public advertising.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
