    Lot of Five Assorted Military Items. Comprising: 1) Large Print of U.S. Doughboys c1917. 12-inch x 20-inch sepia print of over 200 soldiers at outdoor mess. All in uniform except wives and cooks. Most of group seated at eating tables. Front of print marked, "BARBACUE/MED. INSTRUCTION CO'S. C.,D.,E,I./FORT HARRISON, IND. AUG 11,/1917." Lower right corner with photographer's name, "LOSEY/539 N. MERIDIAN ST./INDIANAPOLIS/No.177" Unmounted but with old cardboard backing. 2) Copy of "THE BATTLE OF MANILA BAY...AN EPIC POEM BY PAY DIRECTOR WILLIAM W. GALT, U.S.N." signed by the author. Gold-embossed, leather cover, 125 pages with illustrations of battleships, battle scenes and crew members. Printed 1905. 3) 1908 Copy of , "DRILL REGULATIONS AND OUTLINES OF FIRST AID FOR THE HOSPITAL CORPS UNITED STATES ARMY REVISED 1909." Soft leather cover, 165 pages with illustrations. 4) Reproduction West Point Shako Cap Badge. Of 4-inch x 4 1/2-inch stamped brass construction. Helmet-on-shield[facing to left] surmounted with American eagle and banner reading, "DUTY HONOR COUNTRY WEST POINT MDCCCII USMA." Lower mounting clip on reverse. 5) General Pershing Commemorative Leather Coin Purse. Approximately 2-inch x 4 1/2-inch leather purse with top clasp plate. Plate with bust of General Pershing inside wreath and between pair of American Flags. Interior marked, "COMPLIMENTS OF CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK/ASHLAND, Pa." Condition: 1) Very good. Strong, detailed image. Right side with full-length crease approximately 1-inch from edge. Top edge with minor chipping, not in image area. Lower left corner showing light foxing. 2) Fine. Minor edge-wear to soft leather cover. 3) Good. Losses to cover at top and bottom of spine and adjoining corners of cover and back. Pages are clean and tight. Worm holes in back wallet section. 4) Fine. Mellow patina. Light age wear. Top mounting pin absent. 5) Very good to fine. Clasp panel with moderate age wear and patina. Tiny dent on hinge. Patch of light surface rust on inside edge of clasp. Leather soft and supple with no losses. Requires 3rd Party Shipping.
