This 14-piece collection of material from before, during, and after the 1960 Los Angeles Democratic National Convention includes acceptance speech tickets and pre- and post-convention material: (1-2) "Presidential Campaign Kick-Off Dinner January 23, 1960" program and ticket at which Senator John F. Kennedy was a speaker and is pictured; (3) Presidential Election Handbook filled with information about the upcoming national conventions and election, including photographs and information about the Democratic and Republican contenders; (4-6) a felt banner, plastic campaign hat, and button from the Democratic National Convention July 1960; (7) special events program from the Democratic National Convention, 1960; (8) the official Democratic national platform, "The Rights of Man"; (9) General Admission ticket to John F. Kennedy's acceptance speech program dated July 15, 1960; (10) Golden Horseshow ticket to John F. Kennedy's acceptance speech rally on July 15, 1960; (11) invitation to a Kennedy-Johnson campaign dinner in Washington, D.C., September 20, 1960; (12) special reserved ticket to a major address by Senator John F. Kennedy in Philadelphia October 31, 1960; (13) ticket to a Massachusetts Citizens for Kennedy and Johnson dinner, November 1, 1960; and (14) ticket to the "All Chicago Salute to Senator John F.
