Group of (7) Sets of Southern Sheet Music. Music was an important component of the Southern cultural identity before, during, and after the Civil War. From the popular songs featured in minstrel shows, where white men in blackface would perform such rousing tunes as "Dixie" and "Old Dan Tucker," to the hymns and spirituals sung both in church and on the plantation, to songs used to inspire feelings of patriotism, the South treasured its flourishing and diverse musical culture. Several such songs are featured in this lot and include: George Linley, et al. Bonny Jean, a Ballad. Augusta: Blackmar & Bro., n. d. 4to, 6 pages. The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
