    Description

    Graham County, Arizona: Report on Gambling Licenses in 1901. Sheriff's License Report for the First and Second Quarter, Ending June 30th, 1901. Clifton Precinct. 8-pages of typed sheets (one side only), 8" x 10," attached to heavy tan paper, which is folded over the top of the sheets, by two brass pins. The list includes names of the person to whom the license was issued, whether the establishment was a saloon or a gambling hall, the date the license was issued, expiration date, and amount paid. The report is signed in ink by James V. Parks, Graham County Sheriff. The document presents a detailed view of the gambling business in Arizona in the early twentieth century. The document is in excellent condition.
