    Description

    Early New York State Depositions Regarding a Compulsive Thief, manuscript document, two pages, 7.75" x 12.5", Schenectady, New York, 1788. Four ladies here accuse a certain Eliza Kelly of stealing cash and small personal items. One plaintiff, Jennet Youle, states, "...Eliza Kelly is not in her proper senses, from Her actions-saying when the money was found with her that she Had earned it & when examined that she found it on the floor of depondents House." Even toning, small marginal split on one horizontal fold. Very good condition. From the collection of Henry E. Luhrs.
