    Confederate Currency: Three Bond Certificates, Two Notes, and One Treasury Warrant. All are dated, signed, and numbered. Some are foxed and lightly soiled; all are toned and in near fine condition.

    The currency includes:


    Two $100 Six Per Cent Non Taxable Confederate Bond Certificates, both are 9.5" x 7" and were issued on July 6, 1864, with rural vignette to the left and a maturity date "Two years after the Ratification of a Treaty of Peace with the United States."


    One $500 Seven Per Cent Confederate Bond Certificate with ten coupons, 14" x 17", March 1863, with naval and military vignettes. The verso states that this bond was issued at Jefferson, Texas.


    One $100 Confederate note, 7.5" x 3", August 20, 1862, with large railroad vignette in the center.


    One $500 Confederate note, 7.25" x 3.25", February 17, 1864, with patriotic Confederate vignettes, including George Washington on horseback to the left and Stonewall Jackson, the only Confederate general to appear on Confederate paper money, to the right.


    One $10 Texas Treasury Warrant, 6.75" x 3", May 1, 1862, with naval vignette to the left.


    Included is an envelope on which is handwritten in pencil, "Confederate money found among Grandmother Williams papers after the death of Uncle Frances Williams".
