    Description

    [Weimar Republic] 1000 Mark Debenture Bond of the Association of Greater Berlin. One page, 11" x 14.75", August 13, 1919, Berlin, in German, with a printed ornamental border. The bond has both ink and embossed seals bearing the crowned Imperial eagle. Slight weakness at the folds and minor soiling, else very good.

    More Information:

    The bond (Schuldverschreibung), issued by the Verbandes Gross Berlin, was authorized in the period of parliamentary monarchy between the personal rule of the Kaiser and the creation of the Weimar Republic. However, it was issued two days after the new Weimar constitution was adopted and the establishment of a German republic.
