    [Lewis and Clark]. Six Newspapers with William Clark and Meriwether Lewis Content. Includes issues of The Universal Gazette, Independent Chronicle, National Intelligencer, and one four page (partial and unknown) paper. The issues span the years 1805 through 1815 and contain news of the famous expedition by the two explorers. Included are reports from the expedition, the return of Capt. Lewis to Washington, a reprint of a Thomas Jefferson letter to Congress regarding the success of the trip, et al. All are in very good or better condition.
