Early 19th Century Medical Manuscript Titled, "An Inaugural Dissertation on Bubonocele," by Henry Neill. Nineteen pages, 8" x 9.75", "Submitted to the Examination of James W. Dowell A. M. Provost/The Trustees and Medical Faculty of the University of Pennsylvania" for the "Degree of Doctor of Medicine," April 1, 1807. Neill asserts that his essay is "not on any thing new or original, but as the result of the information which I have received from their [Professors] very valuable lectures." Edges are chipped with paper loss confined solely to the edge. Heavy foxing and moderately toned; text remains bold and easily legible.

Also included are two collateral documents. The first certifies that Henry Neill is a medical student at the University of Pennsylvania, dated November 1806. The second is a receipt for thirty dollars from the Pennsylvania Hospital to "Henry Neill, M. D."
