    Francisco Molinos del Campo Broadside Outlining Electoral Procedures Throughout the Provinces of Mexico, Including Texas. Elephant folio made up of four sheets adhered to an overall size of 23" x 32.5"; Mexico, June 23, 1823. Original decree was given on June 17, 1823.

    Molinos de Campo announces that he has received a communication from the Secretary of State that the Supreme Executive Power of the Provisional Government named by the sovereign Congress that elections are to be held. The Provisional Government was established in 1823 after the end of the short reign of Emperor Agustin Iturbide. The large broadside outlines the basis for the elections, and provides great detail about the various posts and provinces, including procedures and voting regulations. Section 8 lists the provinces covered by the election, and includes Texas. Not in Streeter.

    Condition: Folio made of four sheets of paper, including two seal imprinted sheets. Flattened folds, with light creasing throughout. Stray staining caused by adhesive, with small separation occurring at top along vertical fold. Small bit of paper loss at lower left in margin, well away from any text.
