    First National Conference for a United Front Against Fascism Poster.
    Double-sided, 8.5" x 14"
    Oakland, California; July 18-20, 1969

    The front side advertises the dates of the conference, along with BBQ dinners held at Bobby Hutton Memorial Park. It reads in part, "The American people and the Black people in particular must recognize fascism for what it is; the demagogic (lying) politician; the avaricious (greedy, exploiting) businessman; and the fascist pig cops." The back side advertised "Workers Unite for a Anti-Fascist Front", which called for a "powerful, aggressive and vigilant labor movement."

    The conference was advertised in the May 31, 1969 issue of The Black Panther, following the events at People's Park known as "Bloody Thursday", where student James Rector was killed. The conference had numerous special guest, including Reverend Jesse Jackson, Charles R. Garry, Ray 'Masai' Hewitt, Nathan Hare, Father Earl Neil, and numerous others.

    Condition: Flattened folds, with creasing at edges and the corners. Soiling and toning is present at the edges. Else good.
