Description

    [Samuel Bangs] and [Agustín de Iturbide]. Gaspar Antonio Lopez Broadside Announcing the Emperor's Decree Concerning Tobacco. Printed on two sheets joined to form a single sheet measuring 8.5" x 22". Saltillo, November 28, 1822; printed by Samuel Bangs. A decree issued by the Emperor [Agustín de Iturbide] on October 31, 1822 establishing regulations for the sale and production of tobacco. Lopez signs with his rubric. Additionally signed in full by Juan Antonio Padilla.

    Condition: Very faint dampstaining along left; with adhesive staining center where sheets are joined. A few light stray stains; otherwise gently toned and near fine.
