Prospectus of the Texas Trunk Railroad Company of Texas. With Map Showing the Line of Road and Branches. Dallas and Boston, 1880. 8vo, 93 pages. Printed wraps. According to Eberstadt: "A map mentioned on the title page is not present and apparently was not issued. The line was projected to run from Dallas southeast to Sabine Pass on the Gulf. There are glowing accounts of Texas climate, agriculture, industry, etc., to prove that the road's future 'must not only be successful but brilliant.'" Small fold near the gutter runs vertically on pages 9 and 10, 23 and 24, and 55 and 56. Pages 75 through 78 are uncut along the upper edge. Otherwise in fine condition.

    Reference: Eberstadt 162:648.
