Also included in the booklet is a great deal of illustrative advertising of the Bay area. [and:] Board of Trade Booklet, Whittier, California, 1906. 12mo (oblong), 16 pages. Early promotional booklet for the small Los Angeles County City. Contains a list of officers, directors, and chairman for the Whittier Board of Trade. Dampstained throughout. [and:] Pacific Christian Endeavorer. Volume 3, Number 9. San Francisco, September, 1899. 8vo, 32 pages. The Christian Endeavor Union was an interdenominational Protestant youth movement founded in 1881. Contains information for California members. Period advertisements throughout. Printed wraps detached; upper right corner creased throughout. [and:] Pictorial Booklet Glimpses of California. The Land of the Setting Sun. San Francisco: D. S. Stanley & Co., circa 1890s. 4to (oblong), 10 pages containing information on local (to San Francisco) craftsmen and places to visit. Given with "Compliments of Palace Hardware Co. of San Francisco." Light foxing scattered throughout. Slight soiling of wraps.
