Description
Blueprints for Coors Stadium in Denver, Colorado. Over 150 blueprints bound together, each measuring 42.25" x 30". Produced by Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum P.C. INC. and dated October 1, 1993. Coors Stadium is the home field of the Colorado Rockies, who were established in 1993. While the stadium was under construction, the Rockies played their first two seasons in Mile High Stadium.Coors Stadium was the first baseball only stadium built in the National Baseball League since 1962 when Dodger Stadium was built. The stadium had originally been designed to be smaller (seating 43,800), but the Rockies' first season drew so many fans that the plans were expanded and extra seats were added to the right field upper deck (seating 50,200). Surprisingly, during the construction a number of dinosaur fossils were found, including a triceratops skull; this is why the Rockies' mascot is the triceratops named Dinger.
Condition: Toning along right vertical side as well as along top and bottom edges. Mild dampstaining at lower right corner on a few inner pages. Minor warping due to being rolled. Light soiling, otherwise very fine.
