BASEBALL’S IRON MEN. The great celebration of Ripken’s 2131 consecutive games came on September 6, 1995. We all assumed it was the world record. However, professional baseball in Japan produced a durable player in Sachio Kinugasa who registered 2215 uninterrupted appearances in the course of his career. As such, Cal Jr. persevered until June 14, 1996 to eclipse that record as well. To commemorate that landmark event, we present here three sensational mementos of Ripken’s ultimate record. A) a Gateway FDC, signed by Ripken, with silk cachet depicting professional baseball’s two leaders for endurance. B) a mint condition OAL (Budig) ball signed at the sweet spot by Ripken and Kinugasa. And on a side panel, Kinugasa has also signed in Japanese. And C) a ticket from the final record-breaking game signed by Kinugasa along with a Certificate of Attendance signed by Ripken. All autographs in this collection are "10". LOA Spence and Grad PSA/DNA.
