Arkansas and Texas Land Company. One page partially printed, 7.25" x 12", April 27, 1831, New York, signed by trustees T. L. Ogden, Daniel Jackson, and Edward Curtis. This document, marked as "No. 37", certifies that "John Enrico of New York is entitled to the right and benefit of Four Sitios of Land [17,714 acres] more or less . . . situate in Texas, and included within the following boundaries. . . ." Enrico has signed on the verso. This grant of land in the Texas Panhandle was located at the southwest corner of a grant given to Reuben Ross, who would later fight at the Battle of San Jacinto. In 1839, Ross, a trained duelist, was killed by Henry E. McCulloch. The Arkansas and Texas Land Company was replaced by the New Arkansas and Texas Land Company in 1833. On rice paper with smoothed folds with uneven bottom and lower right edge. Fine.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
