1962 BAZOOKA PANEL. Later in the development of our hobby, research was able to categorize the vintages of Bazooka cards. This was not an easy task as 260 these cards were issued as 3-card panels on bulk retail boxes of bubble gum. The panels, and frequently, the individual cards, were scissored from the boxes. In turn not a clue remained on the blank-backed cards for identifying the year of issue. Now that we’ve matured, we know that this offered uncut panel appeared in 1962. The condition of this one has been evaluated by SGC and deemed 84 NM. As is evident, it features Art Mahaffey and Dick Stuart. The former struggled several seasons with the marginal Phillies. The latter was a free spirit, as they say, who deserved his nickname, "Dr. Strangeglove." We should also mention that Mickey Mantle is featured as well on this card. He was liked in New York, and he hit some home runs.
