    Description

1951 TOPPS CONNIE MACK ALL-STAR SET. Offered is a complete, albeit marginal quality, set of the rare 1951 Topps Connie Mack All-Stars. By its condition, it should be considered a collector’s representation of the 11-card composite. The cards have rather fulfilled the instructions as directed on their reverses as the outlines have been detached on all. (Jimmy Collins has been re-attached with tape on the back.) In forgiving the absence of backs, some of these cards are yet presentable, and the condition of their figures are detailed as follows: Alexander - no creases, clean; Cochrane - missing bat, lt. cr. at knee; Eddie Collins - light cr. at wrist, clean; Jimmy Collins - mild/ mod. corner wear; Gehrig - hvy. crs.; Johnson - lt./mild crs.; Mack - hvy. crs.; Mathewson - mod. crs.; Ruth - v. lt. cr. at bat, clean; Speaker - mod. cr. at wrist; and Wagner - tape repair at base, mod. crs.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
