    1876 Presidential Centennial Exposition Broadside. Measuring 29.5" x 21.75" (sight), the first eighteen presidents, from Washington to Grant, are pictured with individual affixed albumen photos, as a representation of the first 100 years of the existence of the office. Published in 1875 by The National Copying Company, each president's signature (in facsimile) is found toward the bottom edge and below their respective image. The presidential images surround a photograph of the Capitol. The 1876 Centennial International Exposition was the first World's Fair to be held in the United States. Held d in Philadelphia between May and November, it boasted an attendance of nearly 10 million visitors. President Ulysses S. Grant attended the opening ceremony with his guest, Brazilian Emperor Dom Pedro II. Small spot of staining at lower right edge with minor damage to the portraits of George Washington, John Adams, William Henry Harrison, and Zachary Taylor. One of the nicest Centennial display pieces we have encountered. Framed to an overall size of 32" x 24.25".
