[Texas Republic] General Land Office Document Signed. Two pages mostly printed, 8" x 13", February 21, 1845, General Land Office, Austin. At the top of the document is handwritten, "Instructions to Surveyors". At the end of the printed document is a handwritten note dated June 30, 1853, certifying "the foregoing to be a current copy" to be used by county surveyors, signed "G. Crosby". With embossed General Land Office seal. Some dampstaining and small tears, including a .75" x .5" marginal tear; near fine.

    More Information:

Ten months after this Texas Republic General Land Office form was printed, Texas joined the U.S. as a state. Crosby, likely not seeing any reason to discard these viable forms, despite the reference on page two to the Republic of Texas, includes his handwritten note signed certifying that these forms could still be used.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
