[Texas-Louisiana Boundary]. Informe Que se Dio al Excmo. Sr. Presidente de la Republica Mejicana, Sobre Limites de la Provincia de Tejas. Con la de la Luisiana" ("Report Given to His Excellency, the President of the Mexican Republic, with Regard to the Boundaries of the Province of Texas. With that of Louisiana"). Zacatecas: Imprenta del supreme gobierno, à cargo del c. Pedro Piña, 1828. 12mo, iii; 38 pages. In Spanish. Signed in print at the end by Father José Maria de Jesus Puelles. Sewn at the left edge. Pages iii and 9-10 have had paper added to the lower edge. Corners throughout are damaged and repaired with tape. Light to moderate foxing throughout. Waterstaining at the lower corners.

Streeter states: "The copy at the University of Texas has a leaf of errata. The corrections there noted have been made in pen in my copy." After contacting the University of Texas, we are informed that their copy is a photocopy of an original and does not contain an errata. The copy we offer has, like Streeter's, the same corrections made in an early hand, and also does not contain the errata sheet. Wm. Reese & Co. offered a similar copy noting the same corrections by hand, comparing it to the Graff copy, which also lacks the errata sheet.

In 1827, at the request of the President of Mexico, Puelles, guardian of the College of Guadalupe de Zacatecas, reviewed the subject of the boundary between Texas and Louisiana, tracing the history of the region and its contested ownership claims. Preceding the text of the "Informe" is a statement laudatory of Puelles and his report by R. Arizpe of the Ministry of Justice and Ecclesiastical Affairs.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
