"SLUGGER AT THE BAT". Just when we thought there wasn’t another Brooklyn Dodger relic to be found, this little gem emerged. It’s a standard 7" 45 rpm record which we assume can still deliver its audio. The title, "Slugger at the Bat," appears as "part 1" and "part 2," (imagine that) on the Columbia labels. We don’t really know if Reese and Jackie are singin’ their favorite tunes, or if we’ve got a couple jocks tellin’ us how to wear a ball glove. For that matter, we don’t even know how old this is. Can’t be earlier than 1950 (Columbia’s first 45), and shouldn’t be newer than ‘56 (Robinson’s last year). In any event, the appearance of the vinyl record, including its labels, is NM. The cover is a light cardboard stock. It has sustained very minor surface damage in the upper right corner (price sticker?), but overall merits EX.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
