    [Confederate Stamp Collection]. H. A. Tuthill, Confederate States of America Printed Album Pages (Miami, FL: Academy Stamps, Inc., 1956). Thirty pre-printed sheets, 8.5" x 11" for mounting stamps and postal covers of the Confederate States of America in a binder. There are preliminary printed sheets on the "Flags of the Confederate States of America," the "Great Seal of the Confederate States of America," a "Table of Secession," "Civil War Patriotic Envelope Designs," a "C.S.A. Geographic Philatelic Map," "Prisoner-of-War Covers," and "Postage Personalities." There is one page for mounting "Handstamped Paids & Postmasters' Provisionals," including a New Orleans adhesive, and seven pages for mounting stamps bearing the likeness of Confederate and or Southern personalities. On these pages are mounted stamps of Jefferson Davis (8), Thomas Jefferson (1), Andrew Jackson (1), George Washington (1), and John C. Calhoun (1). There are twelve blank sheets, seven of which include eight mounted postal covers, seven of which are canceled. One is an unused patriotic cover showing a full face secession flag of the Confederacy.

    The canceled postal covers are from Richmond, Virginia; Mt. Zion, Virginia (pen canceled); Natchez, Mississippi; two from Charleston, South Carolina (one a provisional); Green Pond, South Carolina (pen canceled); Augusta, Georgia; and Savannah, Georgia. The five sheets of postal covers are enclosed in plastic sleeves to protect the covers.

    There are seven blank pre-printed sheets.

    Condition: The sheets and mounted stamps and postal covers are in a black three-ring binder and are in good condition, except for one postal cover which is torn.
