"COMPLIMENTS OF BABE RUTH". Probably from the late 1920's, this Babe Ruth premium was likely an insert for the daily Chicago Herald and Examiner.  There's a subtlety here that affirms the Babe's renown and value to the game.  We must look beyond the slugger who competed against the hometown White Sox and appreciate that he was a hero -- not just for the Yankees, but for the national pastime.  Tacitly, he was the game's salvation in the wake of 1920's apocalyptic scandal.  And by his mighty presence, baseball was revitalized to be enjoyed by a trusting nation of fans, and the currier of profit for every franchise.  This blank-backed premium measures 5" x 7" and at one time, had several conspicuous tack holes in the white borders.  These have since been professionally treated to render an apparent EX, with only a mild crease appearing on the right side of the piece.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
