    [Civil War]. Second Delaware Reports Listing Casualties for the Battles of Gettysburg, Petersburg, Po River, and Cold Harbor. Comprised of eight "Volunteer Descriptive List" and three claim forms. Each descriptive list measures 21" x 10.25" and contains information such as the soldier's name, rank, description, place of birth, occupation, enlistment and muster dates, pay, bounty amount, etc. Each of the soldiers is listed as wounded in action, captured, or missing in action. Among the wounded listed are: Private Samuel Graham, Co. "B," wounded in action at "...Coal Harbor [Cold Harbor]"; Private John Banner, Co. "A," June 18, 1864, near Petersburg; Private Robert St. Morris, Co. "G,", July 1, 1864, "Wounded at the Battle of the Po River"; Private Thomas Wilkinson, Co. "G," "Wounded at the Battle of Po River"; Private Samuel Cochrane, Co. "A," "Taken Prisoner June 16, 1864"; Private Thomas Taylor, Co. "A," "Missing in Action June 22, 1864"; and Sergeant George Shellkopf, Co. "F," "Absent 'Wounded' since July 2, 1863 [at the Battle of Gettysburg]."

    Also included is a Joseph E. Devitt & Co. Claim Form, 7.75" x 9.75", with a certificate of disability acknowledging that Private Henry Hardin had "...become disabled from doing duty as a soldier from, on or about the 2nd day of July 1863...In Battle at Gettysburg Pa. He received a gun shot would in the right ancle [sic] laming his leg...preventing him from performing Military duties." [and:] Protective War Claim, dated August 29, 1864, for a pension "...on behalf of Joel Lacy late a Private in Co. "C" 2nd Regiment Del. Vols who was wounded at the battle of Cold Harbor." Most of the documents are toned with some areas of water damage or staining. Chipping on some of the edges.
