    Texas Ranger Captain G. W. Burks' M1 Helmet and Body Army Vest, Circa 1974. Comprising: 1.) 1950s vintage swivel-bale M1 helmet, with dark olive drab chinstraps, and painted charcoal gray. The front is adorned via hand in gold paint "CAPTAIN / TEXAS / RANGERS" above and below a five-pointed star within a wreath. The helmet is fitted with a Vietnam-era liner which has been painted charcoal gray to match the helmet shell. 2.) U.S. Army size medium regular ground troops body armor vest. Complete with nylon vest and both front and back plates.

    Sold with letters from the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame Museum certifying that both the helmet and flak vest were on display there from December 30, 2003 until January 25, 2017.
