KLM Aluminum "Flying Dutchman" Constellation Desk Model

Lockheed Super Constellation "Flying Dutchman" Official KLM Metal Desk Model, Circa 1953, more than 62 years old. Given to the consigner by KLM in 1953 when, as a child he flew from New York to the Netherlands, this all-aluminum model of "De Vliegende Hollander" (The Flying Dutchman) has a wingspan of 7", a fuselage measuring 6.75", and sits on a polished aluminum stand to a height of 6". The base of the stand is embossed with the KLM logo and captioned "Royal Super Constellation". There are four engines, two complete with all the blades complete and two missing one blade each, otherwise it is in excellent condition. A wonderful reminder of the days when air travel was elegant, special and exciting.
