    Group of Five U.S. Naval Officers' Swords, Circa Nineteenth Century Through WWII. Blade lengths from 28" to 31½". Various makers including Gemsco, McLilley, etc. More recent examples with etched designs on the blades, all with nice grips complete with wire wraps, one example engraved with the officer's name. The twentieth century examples have bright, unblemished blades; the earlier examples are uniformly gray with some dark spotting. Two examples are complete with their sword knots. The earlier examples are missing their scabbards; the later examples are complete with scabbards, though one is missing small sections of the leather covering. On the whole all are in very good or better condition.
