    Description

    WWI French Hotchkiss Machine Gunner Desk Clock. Spelter with a bronzed finish, measuring 9½ long by 2½" wide by 4½" tall. Maker marked on the reverse "E. Richer Editeur/ Paris". Features a seated French Hotchkiss machine gunner wearing his Adrian helmet blasting away from behind sand bags. A small wind-up clock (mechanism broken) marked "Made in France", faces to the front. A small brass plaque with the legend "SOUVENIR DE VERDUN" in mounted to the base. Lacking the bottom covering, clock not working as mentioned, otherwise in very good condition.
