Two World War Two Posters. Keep 'em Smiling! 42" x 28" Artist: M. Leone Bracker. Most collectors magazines and publications list this as one of the most frequently seen larger posters, and also one of the most popular images during the war. One can see why this image was so popular, the image of soldiers from all three branches of the military smiling together is very heart-warming. During a time when the public was being bombarded with images of war and suffering, a poster like this, with a message of hope and laughter would be a welcome sight. No collection should be without it! 4" lateral tear at top with loss as shown, 5" lateral tear in top right, 3" tear in lower left corner with some loss and two 1" border tears on the bottom.
Soldiers-Sailors- and Women Guests. 39" x 28" Artist: Walter Tittle. Printed for the Y.W.C.A. This poster is much like the one Herter painted for the Y.M.C.A. house, in that it depicts a place overseas where soldiers could go and mingle with their own and relax. This particular poster advertises the hostess houses set up by the Y.W.C.A. Houses like these gave the troops a sense of home while they were at war. These posters were printed to entice more volunteers and money! 10" and 2" vertical tears at the bottom, else fine.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
