Two World War One Posters. Keep 'em Smiling! 42" x 28" Artist: M. Leone Bracker. Most collectors magazines and publications list this as one of the most frequently seen larger posters, and also one of the most popular images during the war. One can see why this image was so popular, the image of soldiers from all three branches of the military smiling together is very heart-warming. During a time when the public was being bombarded with images of war and suffering, a poster like this, with a message of hope and laughter would be a welcome sight. No collection should be without it! Small hole at top, 9" vertical tear in middle of bottom, 1" border tear at bottom, small area of loss at bottom, as shown and scattered edge roughness. U.S. Government War Savings Stamps 30" x 40" Artist: Anon. This poster was printed to encourage Americans to buy War Savings Stamps that could be collected and traded in for war bonds of higher denominations. The bonds would be paid back in full with interest at the end of the war courtesy of the United States Government. Gorgeous image of citizens waiting in line to purchase stamps. Condition is fine with 1.5" and 3" tear on right side and 1" tear on left left.
