    Spectacular German-Made L. St. George Cape Gun. 20 Gauge/ 9.3 x 72R. 27½" Barrels. Blue finish with ornately engraved floral decoration on the receiver, locks, and barrel release lever. Walnut pistol grip stock with integral check piece, finely re-checkered on the pistol grip and fore-arm. Left side of barrel marked "L. St. George"; right side "Garmisch". German proof marks scattered on the barrel and receiver. Trap in the butt fitted for two rifle rounds and one 20 gauge shell of which one period German 20 gauge shell, one "DWM" marked live 9 x 72 round, and one later 9 x 72 brass case were found and accompany the gun. Attached sling swivels on the butt and barrel. 80% thin blue finish remains. Hairline crack in forearm, finish thin with some scattered dark spots, otherwise a beautifully made over/under combination.
