    Registrants Attention! 24" x 16" Artist: unsigned. Printed for the United States Military. A locally printed/displayed poster which entreated young men to get training BEFORE enlisting. The poster reads; "Free for all Registrants: Voluntary Drills. Get Preliminary military training. This is recommended to you, with other valuable help, by the Boards of Instruction formed in accordance with the provisions of the Provost Marshal General's Order No. 76, dated July 4th, 1918. What this Opportunity Means to you! You Will go to camp "wise"-not "green"; You will learn how to "get fit" and "stay fit"; You will be more of a soldier and less of a ROOKIE; You will be better fitted for Promotion; You Will be with friends instead of strangers." This poster was essentially grooming young men to enter into the armed services if the war should continue longer than expected. A wonderful propaganda piece, and example of the United States governments planning skills!
