    Description

Prussian Model 1897/1915 Infantry Officers' Pickelhaube With Black Horsehair Parade Plume. Black leather body with brass trim and 8" tall smooth brass trichter. Round brass base with four star-head split pin studs. A paper maker's label indicates that the helmet was made by M. Neumann of Berlin on December 12, 1916 and is size 58. The flat brass chin scales are in excellent condition and are designed to fit the model 1891 posts. Both the two-piece metal Reichs and Prussian cockades are present. The front plate is mounted to the helmet via two threaded posts and there are no other holes in the front of the helmet. The leather and satin liner is complete, though sweat stained and in excellent condition. The helmet is in excellent condition with some light crazing to the finish, otherwise it is in excellent condition.
