Prussian Enlisted Model 1867 Kürassier Pickelhaube. Polished steel body with brass trim. 4½" tall polished steel enlisted type spike on an oval brass base mounted to the helmet with four round head brass split pin studs. The studs retain all the inner washers. The spike base shows an area of solder which may be indicative of an old repair. The large brass eagle front plate is attached to the helmet using threaded lugs. There are no additional holes in the front of the helmet body. The brass chin scales are complete and the proper large 2¾" in diameter Reichs and Prussian stamped cockades are present. There is a name, likely that of the manufacturer stamped in quite small letters on the brass trim of the rear visor but it is slightly obscured and difficult to decipher. The leather liner is not installed properly in the helmet and may in fact be a replacement. The helmet displays some indication of having been reworked. The overall condition of the helmet is very good with a small split in the metal at the decorative bend of the front visor, some light dents to the helmet body, and light rust to the interior.
