Mauser Persian Military Contract Artillery Luger. Cal. 9mm. Serial Number 3918, 8" Barrel. Blue finish, checkered walnut grips. Correct with all visible Persian numbers matching, except correct nickel-plated magazine with aluminum base, which is numbered in Persian "3986". Nine-position adjustable rear sight. Late Persian crest on the receiver ring with Farsi writing on the toggle and other correct Persian markings on the right side of the receiver as called for. Two crowns over "U" on the left forward side of the receiver. Excellent with 90% original finish with slightly more wear on the grip straps, holster wear to the high points including side plate and muzzle, light scratches on the left side, and modest handling wear to the grips. Strong action and excellent bore. Persian contract Lugers are rare as the total numbers produced between 1936 and 1942 are estimated at only 2,000 examples.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
