Learn To Make and Test The Big Guns (Lot of 2) 19" x 25" Artist: C.B. Falls. Printed for the United States Ordnance Department. A clearly sexually charged image, depicting young men working on a huge mortar weapon. Appealing to the stereotypical male fascination with guns and large cannons, this poster promises men a trade and the ability to learn to work with the big guns the army used to fight the war overseas. During World War I, the Ordnance Department mobilized an immense arsenal of weapons, developed weapons systems in cooperation with the allies, opened and organized a variety of Ordnance training facilities, and established large overseas supply stations. A rare recruitment poster which is very rarely seen up for sale, grab it today!

Condition-Poster 1-Good; normal/major edge wear from rolling/storage, dirt stains on edges, water damage stains on edges.

Poster 2-Fine; very dirty in upper right corner, dirt residue on right edge. Excellent!

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
