    Large Lot of WWI U.S. Air Service Insignia. Comprising: 1) Four winged propeller enlisted mans' collar disks and one "US" disk. All examples screw-back. One example lacking retaining nut, otherwise very good condition. 2) Four Air Service private first class winged propeller rank insignia (one example sewn to a larger section of wool backing). Each with brown silk thread on a 2 ½" in diameter wool backing. Excellent condition. 3) Four enlisted Aero squadron shoulder insignia, including the 54, 59, 60, 61 and 98 Aero Squadrons. The 59th Aero Squadron example is for an enlisted mechanic. Each is constructed of white cotton thread on a black wool backing. One example with a few small moth holes, otherwise all are in very good condition. 4) Air Service Master Signal Electrician cloth sleeve insignia. Brown cotton embroidery on a wool backing. Excellent. 5) Air Service Sergeant First Class sleeve rank insignia. Excellent. 6) Air Service Sergeant rank insignia. Excellent. 7) Gold wire service stripes and red wound chevron. Excellent.
