DescriptionJoin The Army Air Service 27" x 20 1/2" Artist: Charles Livingston Bull. Charles Livingston Bull was a well-known animal illustrator, so it is no surprise that this poster, featuring a bald eagle, and "Keep Him Free," another poster featuring a bald eagle, are his most popular. This poster again features the Army Air Service; a small and lesser known unit in the Army. These types of posters are very scarce and prized in the collectibles community. During World War I, aerial combat and fighting was a new idea, and seemed very foreign to most people. One way to attract soldiers to this unit was to create a poster which showed the intensity and power of the United States Air Service. This poster did just that, with a powerful image of the American bald eagle battling feverishly against the German black eagle, as biplanes and fire spread through the background. It is no surprise that this image is so prized!
Condition-Fair; poster is completely torn in half along its y-axis. The two halves are in good shape, however, and can be easily mended. The left half does have some damage to its outer edge consisting of a small piece missing and some edge wear from storage. A great poster, very rare, this can still be a great display piece with a little love!

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
HA.com receives more traffic than any other auction house website. (Source: Similarweb.com)
