Hand-Painted Metal Bavarian Veterans' Meeting Sign. 23" x 25¾". A perfect decoration for the collector's "war room", this tin sign, constructed in the typical German fashion, advertises a local war veterans' association meeting. The sign is topped by a large metal Iron Cross and features a hand-painted Bavarian blue and white shield under which is written in black paint on a white background: "Einladung zur General-Versamlung am 3. Feb. 3 Uhr nachm. Im Vereinslokal.". This sign was designed with slots to accommodate a 13" x 8" plaque which would allow for a change of message from time to time. Perhaps this sign was in effect sponsored by the local veterans' organization of Reisbach. The sign is painted in an overall pale green color with painted red trim accents. At the bottom of the sign painted in quite small letters in the Bavarian motto: "In Treue Fest!". The sign has seen honest use and has a few dents and scrapes to the paint but is in otherwise excellent condition.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
