Fantastic WWI Aviation Photography Archive Including Two WWI Iron Crosses. A huge archive of period images that includes aircraft, tanks, ships, Zeppelins, artillery, soldiers- alive and dead, battlefield scenes, aerial photography, scenes of destruction, group shots, and a variety of scenes of the carnage of war. The photographs are in a variety of sizes and formats including photo post cards, official photos, and personal snapshots. All images are in at least very good condition. Included with the photographs are two very nice WWI Imperial First Class Iron Crosses. One cross is the standard pin-back variety marked "H.B.G. 800" on the pin. The cross has acquired a nice patina to the silver, the catch is complete but bent flat, otherwise the cross is in very good condition. The second cross is a vaulted screw-back style, marked "800" on the reverse of the lower arm of the cross. This cross has also developed a nice patina and is in very good condition. The images contained in this archive will provide hours of research that may yield unexpected treasures. From the collection of Cliff Henderson.
