    Description

Don't Stop Saving Food (Lot of 5) 1-(30" x 20") and 4-(22" x 14") Artist: unsigned. Printed for the U.S. Food Administration. This simple poster is just one of many in the pantheon of food conservation posters printed by the Food Administration. This poster was simply a reminder to Americans to keep saving and that the effort was not complete until the war was won. World War I poster art flowed from minimalistic to decadent quite readily. This spartan poster could be seen hanging next to one depicting tombstones of dead soldiers, or bloody boots. This was the juxtaposition of images that made the art of the era wonderful and mysterious. A great lot, do not miss it!

Condition-Poster #1 (30 x 20)-Fine; water damage stains on left edge, dirt stains and residue on lower edge, crease along x-axis in lower quadrant.

Poster #2-Good; major tears on top and bottom edges, dirt stains and residue on lower edge.

Poster #3-Good; major tears on top and bottom edges, dirt stains and residue on lower edge.

Poster #4-Fine; one major tear on lower edge.

Poster #5-Fine; dirt stains and residue on bottom edge, rubbing between the letters "o" and "p."
