[Paul Strähle Halberstadt Collection] WWI German Propeller Made by Heine. A laminated propeller measuring approximately 9 feet and 2 inches, with a hub thickness of approximately 6" and hub diameter of approximately 8 ½". The propeller is stamped in several places with the Heine maker's logo and is stamped on the side of the hub: "160 PS / MERC / 278 / HEINE / N2403". The stamp "STAND 1820" also appears on the flat of the hub. The propeller is generally in very good condition with some modest cracking in the laminations and a bit of loss to the varnish. This propeller was purchased by Dr. Harman from the Stan Parris and Ken Hyde catalog in the 1980s. There were a number of complete props and sections of props listed in the catalog and it is unknown which type of aircraft this particular propeller was manufactured for. From the collection of Dr. Douglas Harman.
