    WWI Era Leather Flying Coat, Helmet and Mittens. Includes: 1) British fur-lined leather flying helmet, complete with all straps and buckles. Typical British construction of the period with the two pads just forward of the ear holes to deflect the wind. Very good condition. 2) Brown leather fur-lined mittens. No maker's marks. Very good condition. 3) Brown leather aviator's flying coat. Wool lined, bib front, six button closure (one button missing). One large lower flap pocket and one upper patch pocket. Adjustable cuffs. Original leather waist belt in the pocket. Well worn and scuffed but it remains in very good condition. From the collection of Dr. Douglas Harman.
