Signed by Lindbergh, Rickerbacker, Bishop, and Four Lafayette Escadrille Pilots

WWI Aviation Art Book Signed by Eddie Rickenbacker, Charles Lindbergh, Billy Bishop and Four Members of the Lafayette Escadrille. This rather worn copy of aviation drawings by noted aviation artist, Clayton Knight, published in 1929, is titled Pilot's Luck and is inscribed to Phil Bush (Philip N. Bush), a former member of the Lafayette Escadrille. The inscription, on the verso of a preliminary page, reads "To/ Phil Bush/ with the compliments of "Mademoiselle from Armentieres"/ Madame Elaine and those/ you will remember". Around the inscription appear the signatures of Charles A. Lindbergh, American ace and Medal of Honor recipient Eddie Rickenbacker, Canadian ace Billy Bishop, artist Clayton Knight, and four former pilots of the Lafayette Escadrille - Philip N. Bush, Charles Kerwood, Leland L. Rounds, and Edwin Bradley Fairchild. The book itself is rather tatty with a soiled and worn cover and a crude tape repair on the spine. The hinges are cracked and the front cover has separated from the text block. However, the book holds the signatures of some of the most prominent names of early aviation, and one would be hard pressed to ever find such a venerable group of signatures on one page.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
